A fire extinguisher is device used to extinguish fire or control small fires, often in emergency situations. It is an active device for controlling fire. There are different types of fire extinguishers that can be used in different situation. Each of the different variety of them are using different components. These devices are very much urgent in emergency situation.
There are different types of extinguishers, they include CO2 extinguishers, foam extinguishers, powder extinguishers, water extinguishers, wet chemical extinguishers, fire blankets etc. All the fire extinguisher use different components for their manufacturing. There are various typical standard followed in the case of fire extinguisher. There is no official standard regarding color of fire extinguisher, usually it is made as red.
There are different type of fire extinguisher one is made of dry chemical, that is power based agent that extinguishes with the help of cooling energy, various chemicals are used for this purpose. The next one is foam fire which extinguish fuel fires. The next one is water which cools the burning material, water can absorb heat from the burning material. This water extinguisher are consider as cheap, it is uses widely because it can be cleaned up easily.
These fire extinguishing equipments are operated by well experienced persons because this area must be operated effectively. The main thing to be done is to maintain the equipments in a good manner. Without good maintenance, it won't work properly and the extinguisher may get exploded, which can lead to the death of several people.
